BlackBerry Will Release FOUR New Phones In 2015

BlackBerry confirms FOUR new BB10 handsets for 2015

Fresh off the back of a mysterious MWC pseudo-launch for an as-yet-unnamed slider handset, BlackBerry has confirmed it will be releasing three more phones in 2015. The company launched the BlackBerry Leap, a $200 all-touch, mid-range handset, during the expo but this is just the tip of the iceberg for 2015.
The unnamed slider handset will be a thoroughly premium affair, according to the company, with a dual-curve, all-touch display and a slide out keyboard.

"We don't have a code name for it but I call it The Slide," BlackBerry Chief Executive John Chen told media in Barcelona. "It will come some time this year," he added without giving a specific date.

BlackBerry is standing behind its “software as a business” mantra, the company made no bones about this at MWC, but is also exploring possibilities in the hardware market after the success of itsBlackBerry Passport, which was perhaps one of 2014’s most divisive devices.

As part of its “software business” BlackBerry confirmed it would soon be rolling out BlackBerry Enterprise, a set of three packages focused on security and communications for enterprise and government bodies.

BlackBerry CEO John Chen did not mention handset sales or exact figures but when asked about BlackBerry’s financial situation, he said the company is in the process of “stabilising" –– i.e. things are getting better, but there’s still a ways to go before its out of the woods.
